On December 2, 2025, COAR and ASAPbio organised a meeting of about 25 implementers and supporters comprising Publish, Review, Curate (PRC). The main topic of the meeting was to assess the interest in forming an Alliance that would raise the visibility and status of PRC and facilitate greater coordination across the diverse PRC community. Participants discussed the challenges and opportunities of the PRC model and expressed their support for moving forward with an Alliance in 2026.
Interim Working Group
As a next step, in early 2026 COAR and ASAPbio formed an Interim Working Group to assist with determining the nature of such an Alliance. The initial focus will be to identify priority issues for PRC implementers and develop an appropriate organisational structure for the Alliance.
The Alliance will be a membership association open to PRC implementers and supporters and will be officially launched in October 2026. We are now excepting applications for founding members of the PRC Alliance.
